    Language Program

The FLY Experience's language winter program offers a secure, enjoyable and family-like environment to students aged between 13 and 19 with the goal of helping them develop and achieve:

    • Linguistic and communicative skills in French or English
    • Cultural knowledge of Quebec and Canada
    • Openness towards other nationalities, cultures and religions

    French or English instruction
Students will receive 15 hours of French or English lessons and workshops per week. French or English as a second or foreign language classes are offered at different levels. Upon their arrival, students will be placed in an appropriate language level based on their performance on a language proficiency questionnaire as well as an oral and written placement test.

Instruction is student-centered and based on a communicative approach with the aid of state-of-the-art materials and equipment. Our teachers are native speakers of French or English and have formal training in second language teaching. At the beginners level, the emphasis is on oral comprehension, whereas, at the intermediate and advanced levels, the focus is on reading, writing and oral communication. The inclusion of socio-cultural workshops is also an integral part of the curriculum. FLY students will attend classes in the modern Centre des Congrès de Tremblant.

The average is of 12 students per group.

    Activities & Excursions

    Activities
The unique FLY Winter program offers a wide range of sports and socio-cultural activities as an important part of its curriculum. The program's free activities will take place during afternoons, evenings and weekends, under the supervision of dynamic and dedicated counselors. These activities include everything from hockey, ice fishing, snowshoeing, arts and crafts, fitness and other outdoor recreational activities. Students are greatly encouraged to bring along their instruments and sports equipment!

    Optional Activities
On most weekends, students will also get the chance to register for other interesting activities such as horseback riding on the snow, a day at a Norwegian spa or a typical Quebecois sugaring-off. We truly believe that by participating in such outings students will be better equipped to speak about different aspects of Canada's and Quebec's particular cultural and geographical landscapes. An amount of about 175$ CAD per week will allow each student to participate in all of the optional activities planned for each week.

    Excursions
Every week, the program will offer one full-day and one half-day excursion (included in the package). Along with sightseeing activities around Mont-Tremblant, students will visit the forest in the aerial paths of Acro-Nature and also explore the charming, historical city of Montreal. They will also enjoy themselves at Tremblant's Aquaclub La Source and participate in a mountain excursion that will take them into beautiful, wilderness landscapes, allowing all participants to make contact with a part of Canada's renowned natural heritage. Finally, at the end of the program, students will get the opportunity to visit Montreal's exclusive underground shopping complex where they can purchase souvenirs for the whole family.
